Paul A Knights

Paul Knights Mug shot

Paul A Knights has always been keen on anything to do with science and science fiction.

After gaining a science degree Paul travelled extensively. During his travels he was a laboratory technician, field officer for the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, soldier in the army, invigilator for the Royal College of Surgeons in London, lifeguard, physics teacher and international schoolteacher in Indonesia, Bangladesh and Yemen.

Paul’s stories are about all the things that he says make science fiction so exciting – aliens, time travel, technology, the future of mankind, and the quest to evolve.  He has had many published articles on the environment in the local newspaper and these often inspire the ‘eco-science fiction’ stories found in his collection of short stories.

According to Paul, “The great thing about science is we never know what new discovery we are going to wake up to. Science fiction has been able to anticipate many of the great science achievements of mankind and in some cases even inspire them.”

Paul believes everyone has a great story and he loves talking to people about their lives. Sometimes this provides him with an idea for a story. He enjoys feedback on his stories as this inspires him to write.

Paul A Knights lives in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, with his wife Evelyn. He has three awesome children and an annoying cat.
